I would recommend CIE tours as it was absolutely marvellous. I am a senior citizen and enjoyed the leisure of not having to be out of bed at 6am each morning. Most daily departures weren’t until 8:30am. The Tour guide cum Driver was a great raconteur and gave us all a great history lesson of Ireland and the “troubles” as well as being very helpful and getting us safely from place to place. I was particularly pleased with the excellent accommodation and the great food with various selections from a menu. With other bus tours I have done the menu has been Table D’hôte, not so CIE. The farm stay for 2 nights was a great bonus as well as all the entertainment provided. I did the Irish Legends Tour and this was amazing.  As distances between the different places is not an interminable days travel you have plenty of time to see the sights with the necessary comfort breaks. Don’t forget to have your pint(s) of stout as it much better out of the tap than from a bottle or can.

My “Taste of Ireland Tour” with Cie Tours back in July was excellent – accommodation first class – pleasant driver giving an interesting commentary. The other Australians on this particular trip (2 from Perth and 4 from Sydney) all agreed that Cie should be promoted much more over here. After the tour I travelled by train from Dublin to Sligo and then by car around Northern Ireland – in comparison I think the all inclusive Cie tour was great value.

The tour way exceeded our expectations. This was our first bus tour ever, so didn’t quite know what to expect. The accommodation was excellent – lovely 4 star hotels, fabulous food. The tour guide – Marlene – was brilliant and she really pulled the trip together for us, and made Irish history come alive for us. Every day was full and interesting, but with relaxation time factored in. We all got on very well together, and a great trip. I think my favourite part of the journey was Connemara, so wild and beautiful. We were lucky with the weather and like most Australians who have ever been to Ireland, we were completely overwhelmed by the GREEN. Just a beautiful place, lovely people, well organised tour and trip, excellent staff, well managed. Highly recommended.
